Network Exception

In most cases, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska (BCBSNE) Medicare Advantage HMO members do not have coverage for services or items received from an out-of-network provider within the service area. Providers have the option of requesting a network exception for specialized services when there is limited or no access to BCBSNE Medicare Advantage network providers. 

To request a network exception, submit your request in writing by mail or fax to: 

Exceptions: Emergency care, urgently needed services when the network is not available and out-of-area dialysis services.
