Ambulatory Infusion Center (AIC)

Nursing charges for services provided in an ambulatory infusion center must be billed on a UB-04 as if the services were provided in the patient’s home. 

If the covered person has coverage through another BCBS Plan that does not cover nursing in the home but will cover services in an AIC, then charges may be billed on a CMS-1500 using the correct CPT codes with POS code 12.
