On Saturday May 31st the Democratic Rules and Bylaws Committee will meet to discuss and vote on the seating of the Delegates from Florida and Michigan.
Hillary’s campaign is busing in supporters to stand outside and scream and protest
about what ever her latest meme is on disenfranchising voters from those states
she pulled out of her backside, which HAVE NO BASIS IN REALITY, and are NOT based upon the
party RULES AND BYLAWS.
Expect a whole lot of sound and fury on Saturday from Camp Hillary, signifying nothing, and gaining nothing….
But lets go back to something closer to reality…
Party’s legal experts write in memo ahead of Saturday’s meeting that the two states must lose at least half of their delegates for moving up their contests.
Says the Rules Committee doesn’t have the authority to seat full delegations, something the Clinton camp has been advocating.
Democratic National Committee rules require that the two states lose at least half of their convention delegates for holding elections too early, the party’s legal experts wrote in a 38-page memo.
The memo was sent late Tuesday to the 30 members of the party’s Rules and Bylaws Committee, which plans to meet Saturday at a Washington hotel. The committee is considering ways to include the two important general election battlegrounds at the nominating convention in August, and the staff analysis says seating half the delegates is “as far as it legally can” go.
The DNC staff analysis argues that the Rules and Bylaws Committee was fully within its rights to strip all 368 delegates from the two states when they scheduled primaries in January.
The analysis also said there is an option to restore 100 percent of the delegates - by a recommendation of the Credentials Committee that meets later this summer. However, that would mean a final decision would not be made until the first day of the convention in Denver since Credentials Committee decisions have to be approved by the full convention as it convenes — risking a floor fight.
So, in the end all Hillary and crew can do is continue whining and take this all the way to the floor of the convention in Denver. Alienating even more of her fellow Democrats all along the way.
Where she will lose the instant the first vote is taken.
Because at the convention the ONLY people that get to vote are delegates, and all the
hysterical supporters, well they get to watch it on TV.
All of the current theatre being put on by Hillary is nothing more than her last gasp effort to sway Super Delegates to support her. Her claim of winning the popular vote is smoke and mirrors, THERE IS NO POPULAR VOTE… only Delegates matter, which is why she is doing what she can to sway those left yet undeclared to her.
Unfortuneatly for her is does not seem to be working, as Obama has been picking up
SD’s at a rate of 5 to her 1 for some months now.
Dansac at Daily KOS has more on this, and lots of good commentary to go along.

Clinton’s supporters have every right to demonstrate on Saturday, of course. But their larger cause is neither democracy nor feminism; it’s situational ethics. To insist otherwise is to degrade democracy and turn feminism into the last refuge of scoundrels.
