Hillary goes after the Caucus voters in Texas…

As final results from the Texas Democratic caucus remain unknown, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign wants signatures from the March 4 contest verified before party conventions are held around the state later this month.

In a letter sent to the state Democratic Party late Friday, the Clinton campaign requests the March 29 count and state Senate district conventions be postponed until the eligibility of an estimated 1 million caucus-goers are double checked.

It is the Party’s responsibility to ensure the integrity of the precinct convention process by making sure that the Rules were followed,” the letter states.

The letter came after the Clinton campaign said party officials told them this week it would not verify the eligibility of all caucus-goers before March 29. The county and district caucuses will whittle down the delegates before the state convention in June, when the final delegate count for the Texas caucus will be known.

Texas Democratic Party spokesman Hector Nieto said Saturday the party has not yet had the opportunity to make any decisions on the Clinton campaign’s request.

“We’re not surprised Senator Clinton’s campaign has engaged with their attorney, but right now the TDP remains extremely pleased by the record-breaking turnout,” Nieto said.

Will someone from Hillary’s Campaign please explain why all of a sudden they think rules are important in Texas but not in Florida, or Michigan?

Or do rules only apply when you FEEL like they should?

Hillary pressures her Lobbyist financial backers to push back against Chairman Dean..

http://tpmelectioncentral.talkingpointsmemo.com/2008/03/top_hillary_donor_directly_pre.php

Top fundraisers for Hillary Clinton have begun to exert direct and personal pressure on DNC chair Howard Dean, urging him to show more leadership to bring about some sort of resolution to the Florida and Michigan vote standoffs.

In an interview with Election Central, venture capitalist Alan Patricof, a member of Hillary’s finance committee and one of the Democratic Party’s most influential fundraisers, said that he’d privately urged Dean to do more to get the Florida and Michigan delegations seated – something that’s crucial to the Hillary camp’s hopes of closing the gap with Obama.

“I’ve expressed to Dean my feeling that it’s critical that this matter be resolved on a timely basis,” Patricof says. “The voters in Florida and Michgan cannot be disenfranchised.”

“He’s got to exercise some leadership, and the sooner, the better,” Patricof continued. “This is a party issue. We cannot afford to alienate this large a voting population in two very important states.”

That such an influential fundraiser is unhappy with the DNC could prove problematic, since the DNC of course relies on such figures to keep the money flowing in.

Indeed, other Hillary donors tell The New York Times that if Dean doesn’t resolve the situation, the stream of money to the DNC will dry up.

Let’s talk a little truth here, Howard Dean should tell these people to get their OWN house in order before they start crying for the national party to fix their mess.

1. Florida and Michigan were WARNED IN ADVANCE that their delegates would not be seated if
they moved their primary up, yet they did it anyway.

2. The Florida date for the primary was set BY THE FLORIDA LEGISLATURE, with ALL the Democratic Legislators voting FOR IT, except ONE.

3. The FLORIDA mess is SELF-INFLICTED by that states elected leadership, and the FLORIDA DEMOCRATIC STATE PARTY LEADERSHIP, now they want to blame the National party, and demand they come in and rescue them from the bad choices they made?

4. The reason this has not been resolved already, is the LOCAL folks down in FL can’t seem to agree on anything, and are fighting amongst themselves, pointing fingers and trying to avoid the blame that SHOULD rest with them.

And as always Hillary seems to be stirring up trouble and splitting the Party into
devisive sides. Heckova Job Hillary!!!!

Hillary Clinton STILL has not released her income Tax records…

but she sure wants everyone else to release theirs…

During Senator Clinton’s 2000 campaign for Senator in New York, she “Demanded” the release of her opponent’s Tax Returns for Public Reiview. His name is Rick Lazio. She persued the issue quite aggressively to the point her campaign had someone dress up in a costume like “Uncle Sam” and heckle the guy in public about it. Now where do you suppose I would get a story like that? None other than the New York Times. The very Newspaper that endorsed her. Check it out for yourself. The article is titled as follows:
Public Memo;Stunt Keeps a Focus on Lazio’s Tax Returns

Come on Hillary, stop with the secrecy, smoke and mirrors and show us what you really are.
