NEBRASKA BLUE

Like all debates, or most of them I have ever seen, both candidates hit the hot button issues, but neither one set anything down in stone with a pin me down response.

The most telling item for me, was two things.

In the first question Tony Riamondo was asked about the economy, and he touted the current stimulus plan, and talked about jobs. (He also brought up jobs a couple more times, imagine that).

At the end of the debate the candidates were able to ask their opponent a question, Scott Kleeb asked Tony Raimondo about Veterans. So what was Tony's answer.... Jobs!!!
Give them a training program where they can all learn to operate machinery and work for people like Tony...

Of course he left out - The GI Bill which is under revamp in DC right now, and he also didn't address Vet health care and the VA.

In his follow up Scott Kleeb smoked Tony's ass by bringing up the GI Bill as it is being put forward by Sen. Jim Webb.

Ever since Tony ran his second TV Ad using fake troops in it, I have been pretty sure he has no clue at all about the war, veteran's issues or the military in general, after watching this debate I am completely convinced this guy knows nothing about the Military or Veterans and really could care less.

Tony's final question - which ties in EXACTLY with his new ad, which attacks Scott Kleeb as an "Academic"... asked Scott how his experience as an "Academic" would be usefull in the Senate.

All in all, I don't think this debate would have changed anyones mind.
But if you were intersted and watched, I think you just saw Scott Kleeb kick Tony's ass... with the issues and facts.
