Roy Dinsdale and associates with the help of Sen. Ben Nelson are providing a Merry Christmas to soldiers of Nebraska’s 110th Medical Battalion. Dinsdale and others donated and raised over $40,000 dollars to pay for the plane tickets from Ft. Lewis, WA to Nebraska for the holidays.
The unit was mobilized the first part of Dec. and sent to Ft. Lewis for train-up prior to delployment to Iraq. The Army normally goes on Christmas exodus leave during the Christmas/New Year holiday season. Members of the 110th were free to go on leave but many were wondering how to pay for the ticket home. Gracious donations made this possible for all members of the unit.
