A REAL Merry Christmas.

Everyone thats cares about this country and your personal rights should give thanks to Sen. Chris Dodd for standing up and slapping down the FISA bill… you know… the one with immunity for the Telecom companies that bent over and let the Government start wire tapping
EVERYONE they wanted for any reason at all WITHOUT A WARRANT… PRIOR TO 9-11..

[More:]

Oh and you should also give a half hearted cheer of thanks to Sen. Harry Reid for his plan to hold Pro Forma sessions in the Senate which will block those nasty recess appoitments of more incompetent Bush cronies from happening over the holidays.

Sen. James Webb will probably commute from VA.. to manage this unfortunately necessary act over the holidays, as he previously did over thanksgiving.

Well… so sleep well and celebrate with family and friends in peace, knowing your government isn’t being further subverted by more “Brownie” type idiots snuck in the back door.

Thank you Sen. Dodd and Sen. Webb…

And thank you Sen. Reid for doing the job you are SUPPOSED to be doing…

Thanks to the Daily KOS and drational for the story….

UPDATE… Sen. James Webb did just that… traveling to DC over the holidays and gaveling the Senate into session for 9 seconds (LOL) when needed, to keep the back door appointee’s from slipping by. Story here

Other Democrats – including Sens. Edward Kennedy of Massachusetts, Byron Dorgan of North Dakota, Jack Reed of Rhode Island, Mary Landrieu of Louisiana, Ben Cardin of Maryland and Chuck Schumer of New York – also shared the duty.
